One Looks Good on Her.

Happy Birthday, Sweet Josephine Mouse.

Josephine,

You are such a joy to me.
From your soft, puffy cheeks,
often grubby with the mess you've made.
To your short, small, roly poly legs and feet.
From your adorable little ear tag.
To your shocking, sky blue eyes, electric with emotion.
From your perfect bow lips.
To your wild curly ringlets after bathtime.

You are sensitive, and kind.
You are intense and emotional.
You are into absolutely everything.
You are an explorer, adventurous and independent.

Your smile is transformative - peaceful, genuine, and full of joy.

I love you with all my heart-
For laughing at my jokes.
For dancing and being fast.
For making me whole-
Today and Every Day.
Happy Birthday,
Princess Pudding Pop.

(We) Let Them Eat Cake.

I baked a CAGB classic cake for Josephine's birthday.  That means, basically, that it is so crumbly and moist that it is basically inedible.  I have come to grips with this.  For so long, I offered cakes left and right.  Oh, a birthday?  I'll bring the cake.  (Host cringes.)  Anyway, the problem is not the taste, but the fact that there is literally no utensil one can use for slicing, serving, or eating that doesn't result in a whole mess o' cake.  Well, no utensil, except for tiny fingers that would have fudged the whole thing up anyway.  So, for Josephine's birthday, they had at it.
