Easter Morning

Happy Belated Easter!

Well, these pictures don't do Eleanor justice. None of them show her full outfit (meaning dress, tights, bow, and maryjanes). But, since no one saw her but me, Bill, Sissy, and Dev, she'll just have to find another time to sport this cuteness! She was an angel all day. It was our first Easter with her outside of the womb and it was lovely, just like her perfect heart.

P.S. Eleanor's vocabulary now includes (loosely) duck, dog, book, hi, that, Mom, and Daddy. And, as always, diddle.

She can also point, wave, and clap - very exciting! She occasionally hugs, and loves to kiss (especially herself in the mirror - her absolute favorite!).

She is climbing, loving the ability to sit up from laying down, pulling up (not good in the tub), cruising, taking steps while holding my hands, and still not crawling. Haha.

Mini-Vacation

So, we really are still around. But, we weren't last week! We took a mini-vacation to my grandfather's awesome farm/beach house in Bishopville, MD. It was super peaceful. Above are some random snippets.

Belated Nine Monther.

So, Eleanor "turned" nine months old last week. It's pretty much unbelievable. But, I guess some updates are in order.

Eleanor is 19 pounds, 2 inches. (70%ile)
Eleanor is just shy of 29 inches "tall." (90%ile)
Eleanor's head is 17 3/4 inches round. (70%ile)

She is a total chatterbox, with something like her own little language already. She is mimicking noises. And, I hesitate to say she's saying some words, but other people who hear her will say it is so. Either way, she's very verbal.

She is standing and shimmying holding onto things (the couch, coffee table, etc.), and marching a bit holding onto my hands. She has no interest at all in crawling. (The pediatrician's words, "She won't.") So, as of now, we're enjoying limited mobility. (Not tremendously limited though, as she rolls, scoots, launches, and climbs.) Climbing up my side (sitting, obviously, haha) is a favorite. It is very sweet, and I pretty much let her do it whenever she wants.

:o)
